Advanced Peer Support Course
May 4–5, 2026 | 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM

This course builds upon the foundational skills learned in the Basic Peer Support course and is intended for first responders who have served in a peer support role for 6 to 12 months. Participants will review essential peer support concepts while advancing their knowledge and skills in crisis intervention, suicide assessment, and intervention techniques. Attendees will engage in case discussions and experiential exercises designed to strengthen their ability to navigate complex peer support situations. The course also emphasizes strategies for self-care and promoting wellness within peer support teams.

Executive Peer Support
June 8–9, 2026 | 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM
Mukilteo Fire Department

This two-day course is designed for executive and command-level staff seeking to understand, support, and sustain peer support programs within their agencies. Participants will gain insight into the purpose and structure of peer support, best practices for program development, and the critical role of leadership in fostering a culture of wellness. Attendees will explore the behavioral health challenges faced by first responders and learn how peer support teams help mitigate the effects of stress, trauma, and critical incidents. Emphasis is placed on promoting organizational wellness that begins with leadership and includes support for executive well-being.

Advanced Training for Peer Supporters
